I know there' used to be a reptile refuge/shelter in Surrey. I don't know anything about it, but it was on 176th St just after you crossed 16th Avenue near White Rock as you headed south towards the Pacific Border crossing.

Yes i am a breeder of all these little beauties for now who knows what the future will bring as more and more places go crazy with reptile and exotic animal laws even in the USA they are going to make it harder to do interstate transport of boids.BC trying to ban all exotics.

I have a female uromastyx. She's a great little buddy. Summer is coming and I will soon be able to put on her hamster leash and get her out in the real sun. She is shedding again....hope the hampster leash still fits! Besides her sun bathing she likes getting out to eat fresh clover and dandilions. It's a big treat!!!! She also prefers to do things outside her own glass condo, so that it stays clean. Tile

Most pet stores in the US carry them but its not something you would typically see advertised so maybe ask some local pet stores like the ones that sell reptiles or snakes! Maybe that will help ya a lil!!

Hey there Island. I'm new to the site and just cruising around checking stuff out. I also thought it was predominantly dog and cat owners on here. What a nice surprise to find I'm wrong! Now I'm hoping to find somebody that's on MY island... I'm in Newfoundland. Just north of St. John's. Snakes, oh man... we've got snakes. We HAD 2 corn snakes until 4 weeks ago. Now we've got EIGHT! The Easter Bunny delivered snake eggs and we hatched them. They incredibly cute (profile picture), but now I've got to find homes for them! One was sold, leaving 6 more babies. We also have a Leucistic Rat Snake (I think he's the dad), and he's absolutely gorgeous. Pure white with black eyes and one orange half-scale on his side. The babies are coloured like their mom, but with white undertones on most of them which is why I think the white guy's the dad. I also bought a baby ball python last January. He's a cutie, but intensely shy and damnably difficult to feed! He completely refuses to eat rat pups, even though the rest of the adult snakes consume them greedily. Just for him, I've had to buy adult mice. Even then, *sigh,* he's a bit of a pain. I've resorted to breeding mice to feed to my snake colony. It's finally doing well... just in time top feed the pinkies to the babies. Lucky me, hm? Rats... we've got a pair of them too. The girls, Bo-Rat and Bilo (yes, from the stupid movie), are about 1 1/2 years old now and were only purchased because I was feeding rat pups to the snakes. My son (he's 20), was feeling tons of sympathy for the poor little rats that I had to dispatch as feeders. Hey, what about me! I had to do the deed! It sucked! Now, I've got a CO2 tank that I use to euthenize my mice. So much easier. *sigh* the things we do for love.

She is getting bigger finally maybe like 15 inches or so I'd have to guess cause havent measured her lately! She is just a lil love too. I had another thread for our slithering and hopping friends but not sure where it went and there is lots of pics of my rept/amph there too. You should definitley put some pics on one of these threads of the snake babies cause I would love to see them!! The BP too
