I saw another rescue group do this with success, I'm hoping I can help the group I'm rescuing from.
The Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation (LDCRF), a 501 c (3) non-profit organization, is a highly dedicated group of volunteers that rescues abandoned or displaced dogs and cats in the DC area from the threat of euthanasia by area shelters or other at-risk situations. Once in their care, these companion animals are fully vaccinated and spayed or neutered. They also provide for those animals who need additional time and medical care before going to a new home.
I would like to see them win a day for the Facebook Causes Giving Challenge. If they have the highest number of unique donors in a single day, Facebook in cooperation with The Case Foundation, will donate $1000 to the cause, in addition to the donations raised. These donations will also be included in the 50 day challenge, which could qualify them for $10,000-$50,000 donation.
Please help if you can. Any amount helps. Right now the total needed for the daily donation is 50-60 unique donations with the 50-day donation award needing over 250 unique donations.
A Facebook account is required to donate but is free to set up.

(FYI: I am in no way affiliated with the organization, just trying to help them out as it costs $18 per day to house a single average dog or cat per day in a shelter. I am adopting my Shiba from them however.)
