Hi all,

My little girl is 6 months old now and time has just flown by since she came into our lives in August.

I wasn't sure if it was fair to get a puppy since I am away from home long hours, however everything has come together very well.

I am. in a short while going to be taking our girl for her first formal grooming and was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on what to ask for. I was given a slew of choices by the groomer but really have no idea what she should really look like as she is a hybrid of ****z zu and yorkshire terrier.

Any ideas, anyone?

She should be groomed in a manner that is easy for you to keep up with. (Since she is a mixed breed dog, there is no set style for grooming.)
If you want to spend a lot of time grooming her at home, then by all means keep the hair long and flowing - otherwise, I would recommend having it trimmed (especially around the face and eyes) to a manageable length. Very little looks worse than a long-coated dog with matts and bits in their coats.
Also keep in mind that long-coated dogs can act very much like travelling dust mops with their coat picking up everything in their path....You should see my dad's Pekes in the summer time!
