Stanley Coren To Appear at “All About Pets Show” Toronto – February 15, 2008 – Ontario residents may become more empathetic and understanding of all those odd and pesky little canine quirks that challenge dog owners, as the result of a March holiday weekend event. World-renowned dog therapist and behaviourist Dr. Stanley Coren is slated for a rare appearance and lecture during the 15th annual All About Pets Show, at Mississauga’s International Centre. Coren is scheduled for a “Meet and Greet” on Saturday, March 22nd, 11:00am to 4:00pm; members of the public can speak with the top dog authority and purchase autographed copies of his new DVD series, “Your Dog Companion”. Then on Sunday, March 23rd at 1:00pm, Dr. Coren will conduct a lecture entitled “How to Drive Your Dog Crazy”, dealing with the ways that people actually create their own pets’ behavioural problems. Dr. Stanley Coren is regarded as one the world’s foremost experts on dog behaviour and training. A Professor with the Department of Psychology at the University of British Columbia, he has researched and written over 300 published works, including fourteen books on both human and animal psychology. As well as hosting the program “Good Dog!” on The Pet Network, he has also become well recognized as a guest on a number of U.S. and Canadian network shows including Oprah, Larry King, the Fifth Estate, the Today Show, Good Morning America, and CNN News, to name a few. The “Your Dog Companion” DVD series is proven to engage, entertain, stimulate and comfort dogs, helping to eliminate mood-oriented behaviours related to isolation, such as separation anxiety, loneliness, boredom and fear. They assist in eradicating problematic symptoms associated with leaving a dog alone: whimpering, whining, howling, barking and acting destructively. The All About Pets Show is celebrating its 15th year of entertaining pet enthusiasts with over 180 exhibitors, performances, informational seminars, and special features like: Breeders Row and the Parade of Breeds, a CCA sanctioned Royal Canin Championship Cat Show, The World of Birds, a Pet Grooming Showcase, an Animal Adoption Area, Ask the Trainer, a Pet Fashion Show, The World of Reptiles, an Officially Sanctioned North American Flyball Competition, and a Pet Travel exhibit. The show takes place at Mississauga’s International Centre, 6900 Airport Road, March 21st, 22nd and 23rd. For further information contact me via PetMail.
