The fourth annual Richmond Animal Wellness Expo will take place on Saturday, July 19st, 2008 from 11:00am to 3:00pm at Garry Point Park. This free community event, an initiative of the City of Richmond Bylaws and Parks Departments, is designed to promote animal safety awareness and responsible pet ownership.
Multiple rescue groups with a variety of small animals will be out to educate the public on their organisations and the services they provide. The event will also feature demonstrations, a pet parade, contests, and prizes. There will be 30 to 40 organizations participating at this event, including rescue groups, animal trainers, pet food distributors, and animal wellness groups.

Having attended the first Wellness Expo, I can recommend it for a fun day out with your Pet.
Unfortunately the timing was off last year and we could not make it, due to prior committments, sadly, that goes for this year's event, however, we will be there in spirit.
Lots of friendly people, and lots of Cool animals to see, from Cats, to Dogs, to Birds, to Reptiles etc
There's something for everyone to see and learn.
Tamara is awesome, and does a great job, as do all the exhibitors, and volunteers, and I'd encourage anyone who is looking for a Pet, to become a volunteer, or is just looking for a fun thing to do, to check this event out.
