JUNIPER: give yourself a thousand pats on the back!! well done!!!!! i agree with robbie, that ass would be on the ground crying the little girl he is if i had seen that and dropped him soo fast he would have thought he was hit by a truck!!!! i firmly believe that whatever someone does to an animal, it should be done to them!!! but, sadly that will never happen with todays laws! that is just my opinoin!!!!

sadly this happens everyday....stuff like this comes across the wire none stop....but there are so many other things that we have to view as more important....we are taught if it is a human life it is a story that leads.....sometime stories can be so painful but never make the news because of all the things going on with the war etc........if only people knew how much of this really went on

I have to share my sad story. Having two bullies I get reminded frequenly about how ignorant people are. What people will say to your face when you own a bully, makes even the toughest of us cry. One of my pt. at the hospital a while back, told me about her AM Staff and how she belongs to a site that advocates for bullies. One of the ppl who runs the sight is a dog trainer & has 5. 3 were outside when all of a sudden a blood currdling scream from the dogs as their heads were peeling off. The next door neighbor had dumped battery acid over the fence. Two died and the one was so severly damaged, an ear and an eye had to be removed. The man next door got the animal cruelty fine, was that enough? how bout murder charges. I am so glad that wasn't me I would be in jail right now, I couldn't contain myself. Another member put an add out for a missing dog. 2 weeks l8r they removed the add as they said their beloved Am staff was found in the bottom of the river with cinder blocks tied to his feet. This was a therapy dog for specail needs children, murderd for its love for people more specially its race. What I think the message here is animals aren't the dangeous ones. Don't we all drive a car everyday? Don't many of the people in the world own a gun? People scare me more than a dog ever could. In history even when Pit fighting was so popular it wasn't cuz the dogs hurt ppl. Ppl found it so interesting because they could get their hands involved (unlike bull baiting) encourage the dogs or pull them back if needed. How can an animal be in fight mode and still never hurt its owner. There is no love like bully love!

Charlie, i agree with you! if someone did that to my dogs, i would be in jail for first assult then murder cause i would have killed them but not before beating them to feel a fraction of pain they put unto the dogs!!! you are right about bullies, they are bread to hate other gdogs, and not people because back in the days of pit fights, if the fight wasnt to the death the person whos dog won the fight got both dogs. and the dogs i am sure switched owners everyother week. todays bullies are much the same just add some jerk to train it to attack people and that is what people have done and thus why that bullsh** ban passed in ontario...humans never get the brunt end of a conflict if it involves dogs...the human gets a mere fine and the dog destroyed...just for doing what it was taught and told. the human race as a whole is an alright one...but it is those few bad apples that make trouble fr everyone...people and animals alike.

Thanks Mirrorfoxx, The story of the battery acid and cinder blocks really haunts me and I think the lady told me like a year ago. And whenever the thought crosses my mind, Im sad for a long time. You know guys I think what ppl, forget is all dogs had a purpose back in the day, I don't want to get anyones' back up but seriously. Huskies, pit fouhgt, mostly all terriers pit fought even JRTs. Mastifs, Dobermans, Sheperds, all used in the war to kill people. Dogos, Ridgebacks, countless hounds, lion killers. The list goes on. My point is are one of lifes greatest creations is dogs they love people so unconditionally and like you said its those bad apples that ruin it for everyone. Just seems like Pitbulls can not stay out of the media and so much negativity is drawn on them, when statistically they do the least amount of damage. You know for a happier story, Pheonix came to work with me one day, and there was one pt. in particular she was drawn to. This lady hadn't spoke in months since her latest TIA. Anyways Phee put her head on this lady's lap and stared up at her. Not a minute l8r this lady peting Phee's head, started talking to her and telling her how much she loved her. This lady now talks on a reg. basis. Its stories like that, that I hope will change peoples' minds about the nature of Bullys. Hey guys together we can change non dog lovers, one step at a time!!! I'm sure it's wrong but I agree that the sentence for a cruelty crime should be the same treatment the offender dished out...there was a story in the UK where a cat was repeatedly thrown off a balcony until his bones were broken and his brain was so badly damaged he had to be put down..I can honestly say I would happily see the same thing done to the offenders and see if they still think it's amusing.....yes, bad side!

They guy who did this needs to get more then a slap on the wrist that 2 years and 5 grand will give him. He is a danger to others around him. That being said I have to question. Why was the dog who was blind and deaf near this man? According to the story and I am reading between the lines here "Guests at 40-yr-old Frank Aquino's Memorial Day Bar-B-Que reported that he viscously kicked a 15-yr-old deaf and blind dog to death. Roxie, the dog, wandered into Aquino's yard , attraced by the smell of food" It sounds like this dog who had very obvious disabilities was not in thier immediate care. was is wandering the street? that is almost as abusive as the man who killed it in my books.
