My pet BROWNIE around 6 years had been detected with two lumps inside his mouth..Initially we thought it has to be something to do with the injection he had few days back...But things turned bad when we consulted the vet..he told that they where lumps from throat cancer..iam still held by the truth..i cant just dissolve it..he has/is healthy....loves to play around and a lot..i dont know why all a sudden...today he underwent surgery to remove the lumps and the vet suggested chemotherapy..Praying that everything will be okie...and the old cool, loveable brownie will be back....Please do pray for him.

My condolences on your situation. I am very familiar with malignant melanoma in the mouth of a beloved pet. My 16 yr old chow cross was diagnosed with malignant melanoma in her gums. For all the research, the prognosis wasn't good and her time was said to be very short. More research uncovered that omega 6 & 3 (cold pressed flax seed oil found in the vitamin isle, and cold pressed olive oil) mixed with a "sulfur based protein" (nuts or cottage cheese) had been proven to shrink tumors in brain and breast cancer patience. The flax is kept in the freezer, the olive in the fridge. Green tea was also a good very good antioxidant for her illness. She was very old and her demise was inevitable but her arthritis and cataracts cleared up, and a grim 4-6 week prognosis turned into 6 months of a very full, happy, (relatively) healthy life until the very end. I wish you and your fur baby all the best.

It's never easy watching anyone we love suffer. Hopefully you see improvement, and Brownie is able to have a better quality of life through the treatment. One thing is certain, he knows how much you love him, and he appreciates everything you are doing for him. Please keep the positive thoughts flowing as we will, and keep us posted as to how he's doing.

My last dog fought a hard battle with cancer, and lived a long, happy while. It was hard watching him go, but he stayed happy right until the day we had to make the hardest af all decisions. We did not have anything we could treat, so he did not go through any medical treaments. I'll think good thoughts for your love.
