So I was wondering if there was anyone else out there that had a husky with digestive problems. It is unfortunately a genetic trait they have and can cause serious problems throughout their life, as well as the owners. I think I've cleaned up diarrhea every day for the past month . What have you done to get rid of the problem? Let's help each other out and try to solve this yucky problem.

Hey there, I have a gorgeous Red Sib, Isabelle. She is on a raw diet and doing well on it. Kibble did not agree with her tummy at all. For the first year on the raw diet she only had fish or chicken, but now she is able to enjoy beef and other red meats as well. Good luck with your pup!

my friend (and old roomate) has two huskies. Her male dog had many accidents as a puppy and frequent loose stools. It was a smelly nightmare! But hes almost 5 years old now and he is much better. Maybe the problem gets better as they age? Both dogs are picky eaters too. She had tried many brands of food in the past before they accepted Beniful. Poor dog! He still takes forever to go to the bathroom. I never knew huskies were prone to this problem. I'll let her know.

So I decided to change his food from chicken based food to lamb based and I think we have hit the jackpot! In three weeks his stools have solidified and he has gained 8 pounds. He's looking great and really enjoys the food. Let's keep our fingers crossed that this is his solution.

Tundra too has a sensitive tummy. I find any treats or cookies upsets his tummy everytime. We have him on "Chicken soup for the dog lovers soul" kibble. It took awhile for him to adjust, but he's good now. Bones help firm things up as well. And the only treat that seems to really help when he's.... um... runny, is, of all things breaded chicken strips.
