Thanks for your interest in submitting to PetsMobility Magazine and the PetsMobility web site. While we do welcome your submissions, there are a few things to consider before you go "arf" and write a piece.
Because we receive many contributions, we can not pay for every submission we publish. If you would like to be paid for your submission, you'll want to pay close attention to these guides.
There are three ways you can submit to PetsMobility.
1. Post a discussion thread to the forums board. Not Paid.
2. Post a story to the magazine, here. http://www.PetsMobility.com/news/. Not Paid.
3. Send a query letter to the editor. If you're not sure how, follow this link. http://www.finetuning.com/articles/1727-how-to-write-an-effective-query-letter.html. Once we receive your query letter, we'll respond to you within a couple days. Paid.

PetsMobility departments vary with each issue, and include such topics as Pet Tech, Health, Travel, Monkey Business, Celebrity Pets, Working Pets and The Greatest Fish Tale Ever. These stories range from 400 to 600 words, and require at least two sources from industry professionals such as veterinarians and officers from pets associations. Your story must be current and illuminating. Paid.

How to Post Articles: This information is for all freelance writers who have submitted, or plan to submit stories, either paid or not, to PetsMobility.com.
Once you have received approval for your story from an editor and have completed the story, you will have to post it to the site for an editor to edit. Here's how:
1. Set up a user profile
Go to www.PetsMobility.com/home.asp. Once there, choose an appropriate city for yourself. Now you'll need to set up a user profile.
2. Enter Your Article
Click on the tab that says "Magazine". Once you are on the Magazine page, click on "Post New". Now you are going to enter your story. Here are a couple important details about this process:
Category (column): Just pick the most appropriate one. Headline: Give your story an appropriate headline. (I may change it, slightly) Headline Date: (The date of your posting) Start-End Date: Don't worry about this one. Summary: Just enter a short summary of your story, IE. "Veterinarians warn that exotic plants can be harmful, even deadly to pets." - Short and sweet. Keywords: Enter a few key words from your story. Google uses this to find stories, so this way you'll be found by millions of pet owners. City: Enter "All", for now. Article: This is probably the most important part. You need to enter a plain text document here, otherwise you'll likely end up with some unexpected foreign characters in your story. If you don't know how to do this, it's easy:
1. In Microsoft Word, or whatever word processor you use, open your story.
2. In the File menu, press "Save As".
3. In the "Save as Type" menu, select TXT or text.
4. Now save the document.
Now you copy the text from your document into the "Article" field on the "post new" page.
If you have a picture for your story, this is where you upload it. If not, we will add one.
Now click on the "submit" button. At this point your story will be edited by PetsMobility editors and published to the site within a day or two.
Once that's done, you'll want to get paid.
Here's how: Send an email to
info@3ccreative(dot)ca. Make sure it includes:
1. Your Name
2. Date
3. Address
4. Email Address
5. Phone Number
6. Fax Number
7. The title of the story you wrote
8. Number of words
Notes: Story length: Story length is important. If you are assigned 500 words, please keep the story within 50 words either side of that. Plan your story with that in mind. Writers who successfully complete a story of that length will be assigned longer stories in the future.
Please send any questions you have to info@3ccreative(dot)ca
