 MANX DESCRIPTION
The nearly tail-less Manx with their rabbit-like hopping gait are highly coveted for their sweet personalities and get along well with many humans and other animals that share their homes.

 MANX HISTORY
There are many apocryphal stories as to how the Manx came to be. One of the more familiar involves the Manx being the last cats to get aboard Noah's Ark -- their tails having been victims of the door closing on them as the rain began to fall.


The truth of their origin is slightly less adventurous. The Manx originated from the Isle of Man in the Irish Sea along with the Cymric -- another breed of stumpy-tailed cat. These cats were favoured by King Edward VIII and made their way to North America in the late 1800s.

 MANX TEMPERMENT
The Manx has a distinctive walk -- more like a hopping rabbit than a cat.


Even without tails, the Manx have little difficulty in expressing themselves and make excellent home companions. They are powerful jumpers and are fascinated by water, at least in looking at it, rather than being in it!
