TIBETAN TERRIER HISTORY
Tibetan Terriers were known as "luck bringers" from a story that says an earthquake obliterated the only route to a particular valley where a Lamaist monastery was located. These dogs were said to be given to travelers for their return trip to keep them safe and those travelers who survived the return journey considered the dogs and themselves lucky.
Amusingly, the Tibetan Terrier is not really a terrier. It was named one due to it being of similar size as other terriers.
